The main results of the project:

The project will develop a digital platform for research project and competence management, which will be an IT solution based on the application of artificial intelligence for public research organizations for more efficient management and use of scientific competences and research activities, integrating LU main products and detection applications. Within the framework of Phase 1 of the project, the development of a commercialization strategy and feasibility study will be carried out in order to develop an in-depth technological research description, in-depth market description development, in-depth economic justification development, risk analysis development.

Brief summary of the project:

The project will develop a digital platform for research project and competence management, which will be based on existing developments - database portal - www.lu.lv, publication database, which automatically reads data from Web of Science, Scopus, personnel database and project register, its complementing and ensuring interoperability by creating a new platform. In the new digital product competency data exchange platform, the information will be structured in such a way that when searching for information by keywords, competencies, publication topics, areas in which a person has participated in projects, the persons who correspond to these competencies will be identified. Accordingly, a database of all employed teaching staff, scientists will be created, indicating information about their competencies, publications, involvement in projects, so that this information can be operatively reviewed and used for further cooperation and efficiency improvement. Information on cooperation partners will also be collected, identifying the projects in which they are involved and what areas of activity they are interested in, so that in the future, when it is necessary to apply for and implement new projects, the necessary information can be found quickly. This is particularly important as researchers and faculty often focus on their research and academic activities, often without finding the time and value to report on their results.
