Microsoft and Blue Dome Capital Limited (Blue Dome), an investment manager of an Irish-based venture capital fund, have signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of technological innovation within the University of Latvia and the Microsoft Innovation Center. Thus, Latvia becomes the first of the three Baltic States in which the fund will operate and actively seek investment opportunities.
Within the cooperation, the partners will organize joint events and meetings with technology start-ups, identify potential participants in the Microsoft BizSpark start-up support program, promote networking between technology companies, innovators and scientists, strengthen the innovation ecosystem in Latvia, advise on start-up technologies and financial opportunities.
